Chance me as a transfer SOM please

I go to a community college in NY and my gpa is a 3.6 with 35 credits completed. Does anybody think I will be able to be admitted into Bing's SOM?

Please let me know what you guys think !

Unlikely, I think, unless possibly you are a minority. I know even intra-school you need a ~3.8 to get into SOM.

it depends on your extra curriculars and other factors. Your gpa is very solid. ^ is wrong. While it is nearly impossible to transfer into som from another binghamton program, it is much easier to transfer from other schools.

Well, I am part of my school’s honors program. I am also part of phi theta kepa the honors society.I also am joining the business club in my school and the hillel club. I am going to get recommendation letters from a few professors, I will write an essay which I think will be real good. I have some leadership experience. I would have some of the major prereqs completed like micro macro business law 1 and stats. I play a few sports and I have held a few jobs. ALL that with a 3.6/35 credits completed coming from a CUNY.

take calc 1 and then I think you will get in

Cal 1 is full in my school I am taking precalc now, i plan to take cal at bing. Anybody else?

BumppPPP

do colleges look at sat scores when considering tranfers?

Colleges only look at SAT scores if you are a HS senior or college freshmen. Once you start transferring for junior status, they don’t care. Some colleges like NYU don’t want your SAT score if you are a freshmen transferring. You can also call Bing up, doesn’t hurt.

@RSAL34, hello… by any chance do you go to Baruch? Cause I’m going to Baruch as a freshmen this fall and i want to transfer to Binghamton SOM for accounting (big 4 feeder). I went to a top notch HS in Brooklyn, graduated with a 94 average
