Played in over 10 out of school orchestras (state and regional level)

1st chair for two years
Performed in: a cafe every weekend with my pianist/friend, invited to play at
dinners and ceremonies, and asked to play at retirement homes.</p>

<p>Involvement in community and school:
-2 years in student council
-Bike Mechanic for a non-profit company (branches off from Trek)
-Work with Chinese Group (Iowa State University and Chinese university program
to teach english teachers in China) to help them transition from Chinese to
American life. </p>

State Level: -5 State Titles
-Rider of the year (2nd place in Iowa)</p>

<p>International Level: -Selected and signed onto Singapore National Team.
Representing them in 2011 Asian Junior Cycling
Championships in Thailand, Commonwealth Youth Games in
the Isle of Man, and S.E.A. Games in Indonesia.
-Representing USA in Tour De L'abitabi in Quebec.
-Invited to talk on KXNO, Iowa’s Sports Radio Station</p>

<p>I know standardized tests are a big factor and that I'm lacking in both community services and GPA, but how are my chances as an out-of-state applicant? haha, and I also acknowledge that cycling isn't a hyped sport in the US, more appealing to European countries. </p>

<p>Anyway, your UW a-g GPA looks pretty good. Do you have the weighted stats?
Get your SATs >2100 and >700 and you should be fine.</p>

<p>woops, i meant to write PR. I’m a Singapore citizen and am applying for US citizenship end of next year. I just wanted to be able to represent them in the International races. </p>

<p>So after this year, you’ll be giving up your Singaporean citizenship to be a US citizen. Ah, that makes sense now :)</p>

<p>4.3 is great. Just get good SATs as well. Your ECs are pretty amazing too, I mean, anything international is pretty amazing. I’m assuming you’re applying to College of Letters & Science?</p>
