I don’t understand what you’re trying to tell me. If you’re saying that Harvard’s acceptance rate is higher than Warton, it was actually 6.8%(or close to that) this year. Also, the Wharton’s acceptance rate seems like a huge jump from Upenn’s overall 17.7%.

Plus, I never said Wharton is easy to get into. I suggested the applicant doesn’t waste time on raising his/her score by a few points and instead invest it in meaningful activities and following his passion.

@JimboSteve thanks! :D

a general question: where in my application should i put that took an accounting class at a community college and another econ class at george mason university this summer? should i list that i got an A on both?

also…i’m independently studying ap environmental science, planning to take ap exam in may 2012, should that go on the college app as well?

There’s a section in the common app that asks for the classses you’ve taken at a local community college/ university. You also have to send them an official transcript.

Maybe you can ask your guidance counselor to talk about your independent studying in her letter? Otherwise, there’s no specific place on the common app to mention that (as far as I know).

so does getting an A at gmu and at the local community college might give me an edge? financial accounting and intermediate microecon theory are both business related…how much would that help for wharton?

It may be a tie breaker at one point :)
