<p>Hi all,
I'm in the class of 2014, a junior just thinking about college and the whole application process. my dream school is brown, if you could let me know what my chances are right now that would be great : </p>

<p>Grades:
We do not have GPA or a ranking system at my school so I will just tell you my grades
9th- English:B+, Geometry: A+, Bio: A, History: B+, Spanish 2: A
10th-English: B, Algebra 2 Accel: B+, Chem Accel: B, Spanish 3 Accel: B, History: A-
During summer: Precalc: A
11th (currently)-English: A-, AP Calc AB: A+, APUSH: B+, Spanish 4: B+, APBIO: A-
Next year I plan to take: English, Multivariable Calculus, AP Spanish, Physics Accelerated, AP Statistics
Self study: AP government and politics, AP Psych, AP Economics </p>

<p>SAT: 760 on math 2, haven't taken any others yet.
planning on taking chemistry, us history, and bio
Have not taken big SAT yet. </p>

<p>Extras:
Head of: Photography Club, Livestrong Club, Relay for Life club
Volunteer at local hospital-2 years
Varsity Squash-3 years
Ambassador Program at school-2 years
Breakthrough Program-tutoring of inner school kids-2 years
Math Team-first year this year
Did a summer program at Brown Between 9th and 10th grade</p>

<p>Plan on:
Working at a lab this summer</p>

<p>FYI: My school is ranked number 19 in the country in terms of academics. On each college application, there will be a letter attached, saying that all english courses at my school are AP level, and that the classes at my school are very tough in comparison to most other schools.</p>

<p>Your grades look low but since your school is ranked so high, this could be fine. Do you know what your rank or percent decile is? You should generally try for top 10% or so, even from very challenging schools.</p>

<p>Get above a 2200 on the sat’s and i think your definitely in! good luck!</p>
