Wow, I feel so mediocre compared to everyone else posting in here... Props to all of you, I am mad impressed and jealous. Wishing everyone on here the best of luck with your college process and you'll all end up at mad awesome colleges (better then me anyway, so keep that one in mind, you'll be better then someone).

Anyway, I'm not aiming for Harvard or anything like that. Chapman is my #1 school for a lot of my own reasons that I won't take the time to list on here. I don't have a crazy list of accomplishments by any standard so don't hate on me for that - I know. I'm coming from an EXTREMELY challenging and rigorous private all girls school in Cleveland, Ohio. The highest GPA in my class is around a 4.2 (a girl who will certainly get into Stanford, and this is high for my school. Everyone is brilliant, but it's so damn hard), where other places it's probably over a 4.5. Hopefully that says something about our curriculum. My teachers writing my recs are out of this world amazing and my essays will hopefully be pretty damn great (working on that...). Anyway, that's some background.

Unweighted GPA: 3.6 (we don't weight, I have a very strong upward trend. We don't rank.)
Superscored SAT: 1770 (CR: 600, W: 670, M: 500) (Yes I'm taking it again after getting tutoring, didn't take ACT)
White female with 2 parents with Masters degrees. Will need pretty serious financial aid.

Extracurriculars:
• EIC of Yearbook after being on the committee for all 4 years
• Green Key Tour Guide - an ambassador and tour guide. Super freaking selective, one of the hardest parts of high school honestly.
• Barista at local coffee shop - I've worked there for almost 2 years, working 30+ hours a week to support myself almost completely independently. This is the most important extracurricular to me and the subject of my essay.
• Varisty lacrosse 9th grade, XC varsity 9th and 10th. Had to quit due to my work schedule.
• Young Democrats - member all 4 years, VP this year.
• Israeli Culture Club - member all 4 years, secretary this year.
• Student government - 9th grade, didn't fit in my schedule after that
• Volunteer work - 50+ hours at 10+ organizations all over my city
• Won some French award in 9th and 10th grade. I'm good at French.
• Won an awesome and pretty selective photography award through school that sent me to NYC for 2 weeks to study under professionals. Might also write an essay about that.

Courses:
We offer a pretty limited suggestion of AP's, so I took AP Euro in 11th grade. Didn't do too hot on the AP test much to my chagrin. This year, I'm taking 4 AP's which apparently looks strong as a senior. We'll see how I do on the tests. I've taken advanced math this year and last, not honors. Well, AP this year. We have CP, advanced, then Honors and AP. Complicated, I know, and very hard to explain.

On Chapman:
I toured campus once, have emailed the admission rep, and will continue to do so. I'm also hoping to get out to the school for an interview instead of doing it over the phone/Skype. Any advice on how else to express interests, please share.

Be honest, but don't destroy me. I know I'm not the strongest applicant, but I've worked so ridiculously hard all of high school and I know I'm intelligent and will get in somewhere. Not worried about that, just want to know how high I can get my hopes up about Chapman. Many thanks to anyone who takes the time to read all of this.
