What do you think my chances are for admission at cornell? My essay will be great also…thanks - all feedback is appreciated

What college are you planning on applying to? CAS? ILR?

CAS - do you know if i have a shot

your scores are definitely within range for Cornell. personally, i think you stand a pretty good chance because your EC's, unlike many others, aren't spread out all over the place.

write a killer essay and you'd be a great applicant!

^ Yes, definitely.

great - afch... - are you in collegE?

haha, i will be next year.

i applied to cornell this year (SHA) and was deferred ED. im waiting to hear back in the next couple of days.

some tips for you: enjoy the rest of your high school education and don't stress out about building up your app because it already looks good. just keep your grades up and you should do fine =D best of luck!

My only advice is to raise that math score as high as possible because the 25-75% range is 660-770 (collegeboard's records mixed reading with math). Also, apply Early Decision if you want a good chance at getting accepted.

roberttoha --- i want to major in philosophy (which i will make clear) and my essay is going to be awesome - so they'll clearly see that I'm more english-minded than into math (i started out with a 490 in math pre-studying and pulled it up to a max of 670). I'm probably going to study more math and just try to get it up as high as possible (take it again in October), but do you honestly think it will hurt me a lot?
