Also, I talked with a bunch of english majors and they said that my application essay was great and they didn't have any nitpicks with it.

Thanks for the VM. I really have no magic or secret information about “chance me for x” questions, but simply read the various university websites and try to understand the university priorities as stated on the Common Data Set.

My guess is you have some admission strength in rigor of schedule, but weakness in terms of GPA and test scores. As such, my advice would be to do this:

Retake the SAT and ACT after preparation.

Don’t allow “senioritis” - at all.

Too late now, but I’d have suggested appying much earlier - as in August, or when the university first allows applications to be submitted. While some scoff at this concept, FSU data mines every application and when they achieve the profile they want, they can cut off the data flow (meaning student applications) when they want.

Travel to FSU after first making a personal appointment with the Director of Admissions. Bring your hs transcript and test scores. Mention how much you really want to go the FSU. Once you have made the contact, remain in touch with the person you contacted.

My estimation would be you could get admitted for Summer, but it could be tough for Fall.

Hope this helps; good luck!

Thanks for the feedback.

The admissions officer who spoke at my school said they only have 200 complete applications at the moment, mostly for fall 2012. Do I need to call the admissions office to change the term on my application to summer?

As well, I visited the campus about 2 weeks ago and took a tour of both the campus and the Film school, Coach Lanford took us around the Doak Campbell Stadium as well as the Baseball stadium and got to meet with Coach Baker. The campus is beautiful.

I also forgot to mention that I exceed the required credits for each subject.
