Hi! I am currently a junior in high school at a public school in MA.

George Washington is my first choice college and I plan on applying early decision this fall. I was wondering if anyone would give me some input as to what my chances are at being accepted to the school?

Stats:
Gpa: 3.8/4
SAT: 1370
APs: 6 total, all english and history related
Rec letters: very good, both AP teachers that I have a very good relationship with. Will write about leadership abilities.
Clubs:
President of community service club, Officer for Best Buddies. I’m also a member in a mentoring program, the dating violence task team, NHS, I serve with my church at the soup kitchen, worked part time my junior and sophomore year, and have participated in relay for life and autism awareness campaigns.

Interested in major: Polisci

Does your school provide weighted/unweighted GPA?

Regardless, your stats look pretty solid and I’d say you’ve got a good shot at acceptance, especially applying ED. The poli-sci program is competitive, but your stats are definitely in the range of those typically accepted.
