I know that I need to probably get my Modern Hebrew Subject test score up and Physics AP but I know I can do it!

Please chance me even though I may possibly be getting charged for public indecency for changing in public, really stupid I know, but the charges should get dropped my lawyer is top of Rhode Island!

Please chance soon before I waste time visiting these colleges! I know my SAT/ACT are good enough, but should so join more clubs/get more rec letters?

Just wow but due to the nature of the schools it’s still iffy but you’ll get into at least 1 if them but all are certainly possible. Not Cambridge though ESP for physics with a 3 on the ap test u need that 5… Badly they basically select from the best in the world at particular fields coming out if highschool. Also IF U HAVEN’T ALREADY TAKE THE WRIING SECTION ON THE ACT NOT SURE IF U DID. Also why did u retake a 2380 sat to only go up 20 pointS

Holy crap.

Ummm… you’re at the point where you have as good a chance as anybody for each of these schools. Of the 7, I can see you gaining acceptance to at least 3. Considering the collective difficulty of admittance, it’s really a toss up by this point. Sorry this isn’t a truly educated response but you’ve reached the point where you are in the best possible position to be admitted. Good luck!

@ccjunior: really?! You don’t think the 3 on the Physics AP test and 740 on modern Hebrew will hurt me?

FYI: I have not interviewed for any of these schools yet! Is this a negative?

If you fainted during your AP, you clearly have a legitimate excuse. I severely broke my arm and was forced to take my US AP a little over a week later (with only one day’s notice) and my GC said, if I score a 3 or lower, he’ll explain the situation. If you have a good relationship with your GC, you should ask if they could explain the situation in your letter of recommendation.

With regards to the 740, don’t worry about it. The 8 scores of 780 or better should be more than enough in showing that you’re an obviously qualified applicant.

@ccjunior: awesome thanks! Do you think I have a chance at the European schools?

It is not allowed to apply to Oxford and Cambridge at the same time.

Btw, did you take AP physics b, but not c, and get a three? If that is the case, your chance with Oxbridge to study engineering or physics will be very slim.

To be honest, I’m not too familiar with them and wouldn’t want to mislead you. As I understand, though, some of them are incredibly stats-oriented with regard to international applicants. Because, of this, it might be best if you did a little research on admissions to each of them and familiarize yourself with the process.

Good luck! Also, you posted in my thread asking me to chance you haha. Considering I already did, I’ll reiterate by saying, once again, that you have a great chance at all of these schools!

@PCHope:
Physics C
I will retake and probably get a 5! I know physics very well!

And I did not know that! Wow, which is better for what I’m interested in?

@ccjunior: haha my apologies. But thanks for all of the help!

Sorry to keep posting on here, but should I take more subject tests?

This is really impressive. I almost fell off my seat.

I think you have a very good chance at all of them. Without a doubt at least 2 or 3 will accept you. However Oxford and Cambridge are a bit more difficult as I see it (being British schools who don’t normally accept Americans). And remember, as a person above me stated, you can only apply to ONE out of the Oxbridge duo. But I honestly would not worry if I were you, you’ll get a few ivy acceptances. Good job.

Yes ur 740 for Hebrew is NO PROBLem if u are truly worried dont send them the colleges will just see the fact u know 3 languages and the other scores and be like DAMN THIS KID IS MAD SMART also Cambridge is in my opinion the beat school in the world to specialize in any one thing that’s what try are know for. Except for mit and tech but that not what u seem to what and if u don’t mind going over seas then Cambridge is just I mean u get in there and just wow that’s all I can say. Could u chance me back please

Unlike most people u have an exquisite shot at all of these schools nuf said. But can u hinestly afford these schools

Just some advice. U seem to be caught up in the hype if the big name school. Research them seriously. U will find that the Ivy League schools don’t really have great engineering departments. Cornell have the best of them and its not even in ur list. Also for biomed eng the best school I would say is Johns Hopkins by far bar none nuf said CHECK IT OUT NOW!!!

@mikemike: Haha really! My parents make it seem like I could do better, they are so hard on me :confused: It’s nice to actually hear that I am above average! So thank you.

@SherwoodBrand:

That’s good to know about the Subject tests except I already sent the Hebrew score to HYPS! :(

@sherwood: Good point! I am also somewhat looking into Duke & Caltech!

And no I can’t afford them with no merit-based aid :confused: hoping for full ride!

I wouldn’t bother with applying to Harvard Yale or Oxford u can only apply for one and cambridge is better for math and science fields or Columbia if that was in ur list seriously there are at least 15-25 argue able schools in the country that are better just not that big of a name. Also add safely schools and note that Ivy League schools and schools like stanford don’t give merit based scholarships. Only need based. Understand they get application from top students in the s countey they couldn’t care less between a 2310 and a 2400 on the sat at that point they look at everything else. The state schools however a full ride u can likely get

@Sherwoodbrad:

Are my EC’s good enough for HYPS?

But yes, my safeties are Emory, USC, and UCLA!
