Rec from one teacher who knows me very well (XC coach and 2-year history teacher) and another math teacher who doesn’t know me as well, though I still had her for 2 years.
I would say you have a VERY good chance of getting in. My brother applied to Midd around ED 7-8 years ago with worse stats than you and minimal EC’s. Of course, it probably more selective now…
Your stats are quite good. SAT score is great, rank is good (just got above top 10% cut-off, which is usually the standard target). I’ve seen better GPAs for sure, but still solid. Good number of APs.
EC’s are solid. Nothing flashed out to me as ADMIT THIS STUDENT but you clearly have talent and leadership. You don’t need flashy EC’s for Midd especially given your scores and the fact that you’re ED.
Essay seems fine (not an uncommon topic but should do the job as long as it is well-written). Recs seem good.
I think everything is there to get you in! If memory serves Midd’s ED acceptance rate crazy high (like 45%), so you should feel very comfortable! I am planning on applying RD, so maybe we will see each other on campus!
yooo I’m thinking of applying ED2 to Midd and I play ultimate too!! My brother goes there and plays and the frisbee culture sounds so awesome! Lmk about ur decision maybe we will play together lmao
