I'm applying RD to Gallatin, all my stats (i think) are fine with the exception of my ACT score. I'm hoping because my GPA and ranking are good then that'll make up for a low ACT score. Also, I'm applying to Gallatin with the intention of doing a concentration in fashion business/journalism and I have so many ECs involving fashion, journalism, business throughout my four years of high school.

Are you positive you want to base your nyu essay on nyc? As of right now, you need your essay to be the icing on the cake covering a relatively low SAT scores. I can edit your essay if you want.

That’s what my common app essay was about… my NYU supplement did not even have the words NYC in it, I made sure of that. Is that what you thought I was referencing?

Essays: CommonApp was very personal. Related it to being a superhero in my own way with my fascination with quantum physics and a very personal incident in my life.
Essay: How Gallatin likes quirky, and how I am the only person named xx in the world - unique name, started with the meaning of my name -> unique personality and how I would contribute to the quirk and fit in. Really researched deep on NYU, spoke about my favorite classes there and how it can give me what I take from it.
Recs: Waived FERPA. But every recommender of mine knows me extremely well.
