Im OOS from Kentucky, female, black, family income: < 30k, 3.3UW and 4.0 W, top 25% of my class (not sure of the exact number). I’ve taken alot of adv/AP classes so that kinda hurt my gpa sophomore year 
over 100 community service hours, Beta Club, Science Club, Archery, have had a job for about 2 years, also a couple leadership positions. My ACT composite was 25 the first time I took it, but I plan on taking it again next week. What would be a manageable ACT score to increase my chances? Basically, what can I do to make sure that I may have a chance to get in, because as I look at other people’s threads it’s making it seem less and less possible.
OSU is big on its inclusive excellence agenda. Being a minority and the fact that you qualify for Pell grant (I am assuming, based on family income) should help. Top 25% of the class is also good. I would say you should have an excellent chance if get your ACT to 27. Good luck!
