Chance me at Pitt please????

<p>My grades 9-11 were pretty borderline for the university of pittsburgh but my 1870 SAT score and excellent essay and extracurrics got me a second chance. They requested my midyear grades and then they will make a decision. I've worked very hard so far this year.</p>

<p>1st quarter grades-</p>

<p>English A- 88
Contemproary Issues- 94
AP Psych- 93
Latin 2A- 91
Precalc B- 91
Physics A- 94</p>

<p>2nd quarter-</p>

<p>English A- 80 (still has a chance to go up to around an 85 after I hand in my quarter essay)
Contemporary Issues-93
AP Psych- 90
Latin 2A- 88
Precalc B- 93
Physics A- 88</p>

<p>And i have yet to take my midterms. Considering these midyear grades, do you think I have a good shot to be accepted? Keep in mind these are unweighted grades, weighted I would have around a 4.0 GPA. Unweighted so far is 3.5. What are my chances?

<p>I think you have a pretty good shot at getting in. Your stats (this year at least) are above average for Pitt, so I think they mainly requested your midyear grades to wait to admit you until you had a better looking resume and they could see that you wouldn’t stop working if you were admitted. <p>I dont know much about your resume but your grades this year might be enough chance back…
