do you have AP classes in math, physics, and/or chemistry??..SATs are pretty good (math is great…RPI loves 800s in math)…verbal and writing could be a little bit higher…

ECs look fine but idk how much they look at that…

i got in with slightly lesser stats back in 2004 (and graduated in 2008)…i got 800 math / 590 verbal…and my weighed GPA was like 3.7 but i took a crapload of AP classes, played football, and ran track…i was happy to have gotten in…idk how different it is now though…i know acceptance rate has dropped but i think that’s mainly because more people are applying to it now bc it’s actually recognized as an ivy league standard type of a school for math, science, and engineering…

yea, i’m taking ap calculus bc and ap physics c- mechanics and ap american government, I also just got my SAT2 scores back, and I got an 800 on the math 2, and a 710 on physics, i run track too, and play baseball

i think you have a decent shot at getting in…i’d call it a match…good luck!!..

A lot will depend on your major. My son was waitlisted and later rejected with better scores. He knew other students with lower scores and GPA’s that were admitted, but in different majors.

yea, I’m applying as a mech eng. major

Unless things changed between the Class of 2013 and 2014, declared major doesn’t play into your acceptance (unless it’s GSAS, Archie, or another one of the special ones). College admissions are all somewhat of a crap-shoot though.

thanks everyone, I got accepted!!!
