Chance me at several New England Colleges

I did a “joke” chance me a while back, but now I’m doing an actual one. I know my GPA’s a little low, but I have hope. Also, I know this isn’t an excuse, but my high school is known for harsh grading. Only one kid in my entire class of almost 500 has an unweighted 4.0.

Applying to Umass Amherst, UNH, URI, and a few safety schools that I’m not going to mention. I am applying to be a communication disorders major if that helps at all.

SAT: 1350 (but I’m taking it again on Saturday, so that will hopefully go up)
GPA (unweighted): 3.29
GPA (weighted): 3.62
Class Rank: 65/489 (top 13%)

I got a 4 on the AP environmental test.

Senior Year Classes:
AP Physics II
Honors Sociology
Honors Precalculus
Honors Advanced Theatre Arts
Senior English
Chorus
Career and Community Service: Guidance Office Assistant (half year)
Fitness (half year)

Activities:
Chorus - President
School Theatre Company - Historian
Several Community Theatre Productions
Boys and Girls Club Staff - originally volunteer, but later was offered a payed position
Social Advocate for a student with Down Syndrome

Awards/Honors:
Excellence in Theatre Award - 2016 and 2017
National School Choral Award - 2017
Music in the Parks, Outstanding Soloist Award - 2017

Because of the GPA
UMass High match/low reach
URI - low match with that major
UNH - ^ same
UMaine might be a safety and match your instate

Very important to up your chances and apply early, by October 15 would be great.

@gearmom Thank you! And yes, I plan on applying as early as possible. Almost done my application, just waiting for my recommendations.

Let us know how it works out for you
