Chance me at UC Davis, San Diego State, Long Beach State, CSULA, and Cal poly

Majoring in biology, or some other pre-med type of thing.

I had some family problems at home my Sophomore year which resulted in a low GPA, which I will explain in the application.
I know that state colleges aren't holistic, posted the other stats para UC Davis

Bumpppppppppppppppppp

With a CSU Index of 4336 - you are IN all the CSUs (22 of them) that use that system.

SLO uses a different evaluation method, giving extra points for certain types of classes - (mostly extra science, english and advanced math). They also look at freshman grades. These can help or hurt you so just comparing to the avg stats (linked below) isn’t that useful. As you can see from the link though, you are light on both GPA and SAT.
[Student Profile - Admissions - Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo](<a href=“Cal Poly Admissions”>Cal Poly Admissions)

For Davis - you are also light on both fronts. They include lots of other factors though.

If I were you - I’d sit for the SAT one last time. A stronger score might make the difference at Davis and SLO.

Great work so far and good luck.

CSUs: safeties/low matches
UCD: high match/low reach (depending if you go for a science/engineering major or not)
Cal Poly SLO: high match/low reach (^same as above)
