First of all, when you make chance threads it really helps us readers if you list things vertically.

Your overall GPA is probably really high based on your grades, which is a big accomplishment. On the other hand, your strength of schedule is somewhat concerning. You plan on graduating high school with only taken algebra 2. This puts you at a severe disadvantage considering many people who apply to top schools take this class during their freshman year. If you want to study business you are going to need calculus, as it is a prereq at most schools. Your SAT scores and ECs aren’t not quite there for schools like georgetown, but I expect your essays will ge great.

I would surprised if you got into Lehigh, Georgetown, BC, or NYU but the rest of your schools look reasonable. Wouldn’t be surprised if you got into all of them. Best of luck!

“You plan on graduating high school with only taken algebra 2.” No sorry for the misunderstanding. I am lined up for Precalc next year (senior year). So that takes care of that problem. My essays should be kickass as im a good writer and have top notch teachers that will look them over. I have very good letter of rec as well (maybe even one from georgetown and one from BC). Id really like to go to NYU, and BC so i can hope. Thanks for the quick responses. Anyone else?

Bump, any more opinions? College suggestions? Things to work on?

Bumpity Bump =P

Come on, anyone at all? 55 views and barely any replies? Help me out =P…will chance back.

Georgetown will probably be a reach for you. You said it yourself, improve your SAT scores. If you can reach the 2000+ level, you will significantly improve your chances to being admitted to your desired schools.

Just being a member of different clubs will not add to your application. If possible, participate in any applicable competitions, especially at the state and national level. I know that FBLA has regional, state, and national competitions; I hope you have at least participated in those.

SAT score will hurt you unless you can get it improved. Might want to target top SAT optional colleges like Middlebury, Bowdoin, Holy Cross, Wake Forest.

Are you in the top 10% of your class? If so this will help, if not scratch Georgetown (it will be a high reach anyway) and try to do 700’s on your SAT ll’s. You have a good shot at all the rest except NYU, Nova, BC, and Lehigh will be slight reaches as well.
