chance me at these LACs! PLEASE HELP! (low gpa!)

i applied ED w/ portfolio path at lewis and clark. I'm PSEO (since junior year) so all of my work was from a community college. I included a 4 page analysis of 'managing risks' as per the cultures in wade davis' light at the edge of the world (it had one typo, otherwise i got a perfect grade ), a perfect essay exam in which i wrote about the wife of bath (canterbury tales) as an anti-feminist character (the question asked about her feminism, and she is no feminist), an anthropology essay exam i got 100% on, a algebra exam i got 100% on, and a quiz i got 81 on. (i'm a very bad student in math, so i was surprised to find those lol) i also included my art page

for all other colleges, i did not do portfolio path, but i did apply non-binding ED.
colleges:
Lewis and Clark College
Willamette
Beloit
Fordham (they sent me a choice application)

me: black female from single parent home. ohio. i wrote what i thought was a very quirky essay. if you'd like to read it, just let me know. i wrote it with the help of cc. almost no one who has read it didn't like it. I've had extensive contact with my admissions counselor (at lewis and clark) we spoke on the phone late october, and when i emailed her in november, she recognized me.

Academics:
GPA: 3.2W (school calculates weight in a strange way, as I haven't had weighted classes since sophomore year. )
Rank: 79% (37/174)
ACT: 30
I failed a trig course last year (it was at college so it was only one semester, so it didn't drop my GPA THAT much. i am retaking it now and earning a high C)

Activities:
4 years marching band (alto)
4 years concert band(alto)
3 years jazz band ( bass guitar, also they got rid of it this year)
2 years FBLA
4 years Mock trial
last year i conducted a brass ensemble, we volunteered to play at holiday parties
I worked at my college's jazz festival last year
played bass for school musical

Concerns:
My GPA is well below the average.
(just for Lewis and Clark) I'm also concerned that the work I sent might not be good enough. (I go to a community college, and although it's probably better than any work from my high school I could've sent, I don't know how it compares to other applicants)

*Where else should I apply? *
i'm looking for smallish liberal arts colleges in or near big cities.

help :frowning: :(

bump bump bbbbbump

D: D: D: D: D:

is there anyone who can help? :'(

i understand how quick this forum is in this season and everything, but still! no replies?!?!?!?!?!?!

They might be considered safeties, but Simmons and Suffolk are both in Boston and I think they’re relatively small liberal arts colleges. In New York there’s Berkeley College and The King’s College. I don’t know too much about these schools, but it’s the best I could come up with.

thanks for the info! i’m going to check those out

anymore information, anyone?

My concern looking at your current list is whether you have schools you can afford coming from a single parent home. As you provide diversity, I think you can get into some schools that meet 100% of need. However, few are going to be in or very near big cities.

I’d look at Trinity in CT, St. Olaf, Bates, Grinnel, Macalaster and Carlton.

maybe Oberlin? It might be a bit of a reach but you have your ethnicity to help you out

i’m not really sure whether to be offended by that or not.

BUMP! i also applied to Goucher a few days ago. i think Goucher is a low-risk match for me, what do you guys think?
