What are my chances at NYU, Vanderbilt, Penn State, American University,U Virginia and Case Western. I wanna do Business or International Affairs. I came from Cuba just 5 years ago so I'll mention that in my essay. I also have 4 years of work experience. Since before freshman year. Nyu is my number one option

What’s your ethnicity?

Hispanic. I came from cuba 5 years ago

I’m also 36% Asian. I don’t know how this will affect my chances tho. Hopefully they only consider the Mexican

I talked about how I came from Cuba in my essay tho

Looks like you have two different accounts so you may be kicked out of this community for that.
Vanderbilt, American and UVA = matches (50/50)
Penn State: unlikely to be affordable unless your parents have $45,000/year
Why case Western for International Affairs?
You should apply to Tufts, Georgetown, GWU, too, plus UF or FSU of course.

It’s my same account. My stats just changed. And because business is also an option. As for Georgetown and Tufts I didn’t feel I had a chance with my stats.

I think you have a shot (as a reach, of course) at some of these top IR schools like Tufts or Williams because your profile is interesting, especially for the LACs and New England schools - you have a lot of hooks, dual enrollment, great weighted GPA, great EC’s. It’s worth a try as long as you remember odds are low even if not impossible. “Reachable reaches”
