Not very familiar with UCs.
Reach: Carnegie Mellon, UT
Target: Purdue and Washington

I will only quote statistics. Your UC GPA is at or below the 25th percentile for the UC’s listed but test scores are extremely competitive. Unfortunately UC’s are very GPA focused. I believe I have answered your other thread but you need to apply widely and have 1-2 safety schools on your list since your list is Reach heavy based on GPA.

Freshman admit rates for UC GPA of 3.80-4.19:

UCB: 12.6%
UCLA: 11.7%
UCSD: 38.7%
UCSB: 53.6%
UCD: 56.5%
UCI: 52.1%
UCSC: 75.7%
UCR: 90.1
UCM: 96.1%

My boyfriend got into UCSB with a 34 in the ACT, 5s and 4s in a couple APs, only a few ECs, and a really low GPA, like 3.0 maybe? I’m not sure exactly. So at least for UCSB, you’d definitely get in. Mind chancing me back?

For the UC schools, I would say you have a pretty great chance! Work hard on EC’s and your Essays!

CMU, UT and UCLA could be tough with that GPA, but you never know with those solid standardized test scores. You should look at Cal Poly and ASU too. Best of luck!
