Chance me at top Biomedical Engineering schools!

Yo! I'm just trying to see if I have a realistic chance of getting into Ivies and other good bme schools. Ik that they can be really competitive, and I want to get an idea of my chances now. Here are my stats!

Grades:
SAT I: 2210 composite
planning on taking Math II and Physics Subject tests (shooting for 750-800)
might take act, not sure yet (should I??)
3.65 UW GPA (bummer)
Class Rank: around 20% (I go to a competitive public school, 800 ppl in my class)
9 APs by graduation: US History, World History, Gov, Econ, Physics C, Calc BC, English Lang, English Lit, Music Theory. Every other class I've taken is honors/pre-ap or an elective.

ECs:
President of school Orchestra (4 yr member)
Violin for 8 yrs (I have played in Carnegie Hall with my orchestra for a competition)
Taught myself Guitar and Piano
Certified Black Belt in Taekwondo (6 yrs)
I perform singing/playing guitar at whatever gigs I can find
Vice President of School's chapter of Key Club (300~ total hrs)
Sports Editor of School Newspaper (4 yr member)
Founder of African American Club
Founder of League of Legends Club
Member of Academic Challenge Club at school
Interning later this summer at IntecSea (an engineering company)
Praise team leader at my church
Sunday School teacher
Member of Comp-U-Dopt (we build computers, and give them to the needy kids in the ghettos)

My big EC is my water well project. My family is from Ethiopia, and I've built a water well for a needy town there. I have also raised money for a bigger well for a larger town, in which we need a drill. I've got the funds, and I'm designing it right now. We plan on drilling in multiple different towns sometime next year.

Yes, I am an Ethiopian-American Male. I'm first generation, but not the first to go to college in my family. We are not underprivileged either. I live with a single mom and younger sister.

The schools I'm look for a chance for are the Cornell, Harvard, Yale, UPenn, Georgia Tech, Stanford, Purdue, UT Austin, UCSD, UCLA, and I'd like to major in BME. I live in Texas.

Thanks a bunch!!

Your ECs are my general concern. Your SATS are fine and GPA isn’t bad. Cornell is probably your best bet.
Stanford- ■■■■ show (anything can happen)
Cornell-lowreach
Gtech-high match
Upenn-high reach (as it is for most people)
Yale-High reach
Harvard-high reach
UCLA-lowreach
Purdue-high match

@Apsooof Thanks! What is it about my ECs?

Thanks for your post on my thread. I actually disagree with @APsooof , You seem to have great extracurriculars that exemplify your commitment to not only music but many other aspects of your life. If it is anything that gets you into the ivy’s, it is your extracurriculars. Your unweighted GPA is what concerns me because usually people who are accepted have a 3.75+ but then again hopefully the admission officers will see past that. Your ethnicity also gives you an upper hand as you are an underrepresented minority so your test scores are fine. Take the ACT in september, maybe you’ll do even better on that.
Chances:
Stanford: High Reach(is for everyone)
Harvard : High reach
Yale : High Reach
U penn: High Reach
Cornell: Low Reach
Georgia tech : High Match
UCLA: High Match
Purdue: Match

@yojackie‌ Thanks! Yea, my gpa is slightly underwhelming…

I agree with yojackie so much that writing this out may be a waist of ATP.

Stanford, Harvard, UPenn, Yale high reach
Cornell low reach
GT, UCLA, Purdue match

Cornell - low reach
Harvard - big reach (just because its harvard)
Yale - same as above
UPenn - reach
Georgia Tech - match
Stanford - big reach, still have a shot
Purdue - match
UT Austin - is it easier in-state? safety? i dont really know anything about the school
UCSD - match
UCLA - match

Thanks for chancing me, by the way

Thanks @alsa2000‌ and @gchats‌!

I think your gpa is the main thing holding you back. Cornell, Harvard, yale, upenn, and stanford are all reaches, although you might have a shot at one of them due to your EC’s and SAT. GA tech, purdue, Ut austin, UCSD, and UCLA are all matches and you have a great shot at getting into them.

@2015senior Yea, I hope my gpa won’t screw me over TOO hard haha. Thanks.

Cornell - low reach
Harvard - high reach(It is for everyone)
Yale - reach
UPenn - reach
Georgia Tech - match
Stanford - Same as harvard
Purdue - match
UT Austin - match
UCSD - match
UCLA - match/high match

Your ECs look awesome to me, and the water well thing shows a lot of creativity and should help a lot, GPA/class rank is a little worrisome and could use work tho! URM might make up for it, but better to be safe!
Stanford: Reach
Harvard : Reach
Yale : Reach
U penn: Reach
Cornell: Low Reach
Georgia tech : Match
UCLA: Match
Purdue: Match
