I’m currently a finance major at U of Tampa trying to transfer to UF for finance in Fall 2016. I was accepted to UF as a freshman and didn’t go. I’ll have 83 credits by the time I can transfer. I’m taking 2 prerequisites this semester and then 2 next semester when I apply (I’ve already taken 3 out of the 7 so 2 will be in process when I submit my application). Here’s my stats:
-I have received A’s in all my prerequisite classes so far (calculus, micro, and macro)
-I have a GPA of 3.87 (this includes all my classes)
-I’m trying to get an internship this semester but I am a hostess at a restaurant now, a member of College Republicans, a panhellenic sorority, and a writing club
-I’m taking ITM 220 and financial accounting this semester and stats and managerial accounting next semester.
What are the odds I will be able to get in as a finance major? Is it even worth it to transfer since I already have so many credits?
My bf goes to UF and he makes me feel like a failure because I chose not to go. Even though I do really well at Tampa I feel like I won’t be successful since I didn’t go to UF and now want a second chance
