Essays: Generally Strong!

Your capped weighted UC GPA is 3.48?

It looks to me like you have taken too many really hard classes.

I think you are a strong candidate for all the CSUs except CPSLO. As for the UCs, UCM yes and perhaps UCR because of your strong SAT but, the rest, probably not.

good luck.

I agree that your GPA will hinder your chances at the UC’s even with competitive SAT scores, decent EC’s and essays. UC’s are very GPA focused and want you to take a rigorous HS schedule but also do well in these classes.

Freshman admit rates for UC GPA of 3.40-3.79:

UCB: 2%-Reach
UCLA: 3%-High Reach
UCSD: 6%-High Reach
UCD: 15%-Reach
UCSB: 14%- Reach
UCI: 13%-Low Reach
UCSC: 59%-match-High Match
UCR: 78%- Match
UCM: 92%-Safety

SJSU/CPP: Match
CSULB/SDSU: High Match

Best of luck
