What’s your UC GPA? Does your school offer a lot of AP/Honor courses?

UCLA - high match/low reach
Berkeley - high match/low reach
UCSD - match/high match
UCSB - low match
UCSC - low match

My UC GPA is a 3.8ish – I knew I was forgetting something! I’ve taken about half the AP/Honors courses offered by my school, which I think is about normal for the typical “AP kid.” Thanks so much!

Unfortunately, a 3.8 UC GPA would significantly lower your chances of acceptance at UCB, UCLA, and UCSD, especially when you consider that the average UC GPA is at 4.0 or above at these schools (UCB is at 4.25). However, as long as you wrote strong essays and had good ECs, you should remain hopeful.

New chances:
UCLA - low reach/reach
Berkeley - low reach/reach
UCSD - high match/low reach
UCSB - match/high match
UCSC - low match/match

Yeah, I know that my UC GPA is not so great. I went and calculated it to be sure and it’s a 3.85. I’m not really expecting to get into UCLA or Cal, or even really UCSD tbh. I’m happy with my essays but my GPA is what’s bringing me down haahha.
