do you mind showing me the link you got this from. It seems about right from what I’ve found, but I’ve had a hard time finding admit rates by gpa at the UCs
so a match for UCSB and UCSD. The majority of UCSB applicants accepted have a GPA in the 3.8-4.19 range and a slight minority have a GPA in the 3.8-4.19 range for UCSD (UC GPA) so IMO it comes down to test scores and EC’s, and of course major if your interested in UCSD. Of course if your UC GPA is on the higher end of the range (lets say you have a 4.07) then your odds are of course higher then someone with a 3.8 UC GPA. So that 49 percent admit rate for UCSB is more like a 52-55% for you for UCSD that 40% admit rate is more like a 48-52% for you. Same for UCD.
So here is how I would rank you:
Safety:
UCM, UCR, UCSC
Match:
UCI, UCD, UCSB UCSD
Reach:
Cal, UCLA
With your high ACT it should be enough to push you over the edge for UCSD, UCSB, and UCD.
UCs appear to be not as impressed by high test scores as most people on these forums think.
The OP’s profile (GPA in the 3.80-4.19 range, high ACT or SAT score) matches that of a lot of surprised and disappointed applicants to UCD last year.
