<p>From your grades, I can assume that your GPA is on the lower (too low) end of Michigan’s accepted students.You take a lot of challenging classes, but it seems like you may have compromised grades for rigor. Your EC’s are good and are enough to get you in. SAT scores are great. Your essay sounds interesting–I hope you were able to talk about yourself enough in it, and not focus too much on simply telling the story about your dad. Other than that, I think you have an okay shot just because of your grades. Michigan receives so many applicants, so GPA is an important factor to them. You don’t say, but if you’re in-state, that certainly will boost your chances.</p>

<p>and u may wanna lay off on the AP’s senior year. thats a lot of AP"s and u dont seem to prove yourself to be academically mature enough to handle that. not trying to mean, but you seriously need to sit down and reconsider your senior year course load. do u think u can get a 3.5+ with that. if you are positive then great, do it. but im just saying, u might wanna give it a second thought.</p>
<p>20 years ago, you would get into Michigan no issue! Unfortunately, today it’s much harder. Your grades are on the low side, however, counselors always look at the whole package as opposed to one part. Your SAT is fantastic and you have reasoning for your low grades. It will e hard, I think you have a shot though. They could always defer you and see your senior year grades to prove to them that you can get good grades. Please chance me! Thx</p>
