Hello! Just recently I have fallen in love with UT Austin. Unfortunately I am an OOS student (Louisiana) and I know that admission here from OOS is extremely hard. Could somebody please chance me and give me some insight into my situation so I can put things in perspective. Thanks so much! Here are my stats:

GPA:
3.94 U
4.25 W
(A few honors and APs)

ACT:
32

EC:
-On-air radio personality at community radio station (I talk as well as play an eclectic mix of music)
-Founder/president of school's literary magazine (funded, published, and printed independently of school. Distributed copies of magazine to local businesses throughout the city).
-Coached a middle school basketball team

-National Honor Society
-Spanish Honor Society
-Student Ambassador
-Cross Country and Track

Misc:
-Went on two mission trips
-Many hours of service at the hospital
-Worked two summers at an amusement/water park

Oh yeah, and I am applying to the college of natural sciences

I think you have a great chance. My d goes to UT (freshman). Also from La. She had stats like yours: a 31 on ACT, AP Scholar w/ distinction (Mostly 5’s, and a 4), 4.86 w gpa, member of La. Legis Youth Advisory Council, Student Council Exec Bd, Varsity CC, published in several publications such as Clarion Herald, Nat’l Honor Soc, Spanish & Art Nat Honor soc. , lots of volunteer hours in different places, numerous awards. She applied to McCombs, whih I think is a little more competitive than the College of Natural Sciences. She was accepted right away to the university in general, but it took longer to get the acceptance letter from McCombs. She loves UT. On the other hand, NO financial aid other than a $2,000 unsubsidized loan. Tell your parents to get ready for the tuition, but the opportunities and education are highly recommended.

I moved my Dubai, UAE. I joined almost 70% of school’s completion in the first semester of my sophomore year. since the absence was high, I could’nt receive credits for the first semester classes. Right now I am a junior and I take 5 AP classes and I hopefully will get a 1900 on my SAT. I will be taking 6 AP test on may,2012. and in my senior year I will be taking all AP and I will take 8 AP tests. I want to get into UT and major in Aeronautical engineering. my gpa by the end of my first semester of my senior year will be a flat 5.0 on a 6.0 scale. So what are my chances of getting into UT with this criteria??? And I also will be writing Essay C which will help tell my story and reason of why i have such low gpa. So please let me know if i will be accepted to UT. i graduate in 2013. It will be deeply appreciated if someone would answer this.
