All your grades, standardized test scores, and ec’s are great. The fact that you are a underrepresented minory, first generation, poor, and African-American greatly improve your chances at UPENN (sorry if that sounded cynical).

@galethornes Yeah great shot but don’t be complacent. A great shot for Penn may be no better than 1 in 4 or 5.

Penn gets thousands of applications from NJ kids. Cover more bases and bases not so common for NJ applicants.
