<p>My dream is attending USC's School of Cinematic Arts, but for now I'm just dreaming to get into this school! Let me know what you think. I'm heading into my senior year, so what's there now is kinda all they're gonna get. Thanks!</p>

FULL IB diploma Candidate (12 IB classes + pre-ib classes)
Ranked top 15% of my class
32 on ACT, retaking in two weeks (Hope to get a 33/34)
Senior Class President
Honors all throughout 9th grade
Dedicated to community service, 200+ hours
Continually worked at Hopelink Food Service (community service) all through senior/junior year
Key Club, Honor society since 9th grade, french club, math club
Relay for Life Captain (community service effort club)
Partners with Youth Leader for two years (a part of the YMCA, work to raise money for youth)
Varsity soccer player, played since i was 5
Senior Captain, Frshman-Senior starter, attended a USC training camp for soccer this summer
Won two awards for a short film, plus best in show for photography
Took IB film and IB photography (to gear toward my major)
Joined the school newspaper (selective)
Took a three week film class over the summer
Took a one week photography class at the local college over the summer
And I plan to work SUPER hard on both essays + should have excellent college letters of rec from my physics and history teachers.
Also I will have a 4.0 in full IB for my mid term report.</p>

<p>Ahh but I know USC is so selective. Where do I stand? USC is my dream school, so your opinions will really benefit me. Any recommendations (retaking the SAT, more clubs, etc.)?</p>

<p>I’m a USC spring admit and I think that you definitely have a good shot at getting in! Getting the ACT up to 33 should be enough on the testing front (I got a 2190 SAT score (800 in the math) which is kind of equivalent to a 33 ACT.) The extracurriculars look great too because you are senior class President which should prevent ECs from being a weakness. I also like your experience in the arts which should help with getting in although I’ll warn you I know people with the same major who barely got in and seemed really qualified in the film area. </p>

<p>Also, the 3.66 GPA is just below the average but it’s 4.2 weighted (I think USC is 4.04 average weighted,) so the GPA does not look like a big issue. </p>

<p>Overall, I’ll say you are well rounded and you have a good chance at getting in. Your stats are above average and your ECs are good. Just make sure to work on that essay and keep the GPA good. Also, feel free to shoot me a message if you have more questions.</p>

<p>Ah thats awesome to hear! And I know, it’s a definite crapshoot with this major because so many are qualified and so few get in. Thanks for the positive words!
