USC: Match/High match

i think there is no doubt that you will get into USC. You have a near perfect resume.

USC: Match/ High match, agreed with Catria. I think your essay could either make you or break you.

USC’s 2014 admit statistics (I know this bc I’m going to USC next year [FIGHT ON] and they gave me these stats at an admit event in my area.)

Acceptance Rate: 17.8%
Middle 50% SAT range: 2090-2250
Average Unweighted GPA: 3.82

I don’t remember the ACT stats bc I don’t know how the ACT works. Lol.
However, I know someone with a 4.0 GPA who was an IB diploma candidate with 12 IB classes and had a 35 on the ACT who was rejected from USC. And it really sucked bc that was her dream school since young. I was so surprised that I got in and she didn’t.

Your GPA falls into the middle of the application pool, and your SAT is closer toward the 25th percentile. Your EC’s seem fine. You did what you were supposed to do, but you don’t have anything outstanding. I think USC is possible if you have a good essay and strong letters of rec! That’ll really seal the deal.

I was admitted to USC with an UW GPA of 3.7 with 12 IB/AP classes, and 2290 SAT as a psych major. It also depends what major you’re applying for. If you’re applying for USC’s Viterbi school of engineering, your chances are slimmer than Dornsife School of Arts and Sciences.

I wish you the best of luck!
