Chance me at UT Austin! Not top 8, but Good ECs

Extra Curriculars (and this is my strong point)
- Interfaith President (discussion club designed to expand knowledge of world religion)
- Interact - Global Issues Coordinator (Lead discussions on current events, etc)
- Interact Secretary- coordinate volunteer activities in the community.
- MS 150 co-captain. Co-lead 150 mile race between Austin and Houston. We meet
for weekly practice, and fundraise in 2nd semester.
-Gay-straight Alliance - active member
-Entomology Internship at Texas A&M - am currently working on research project to present at a regional convention in February. Worked to collect data for over 45 hours during the summer. Assisted with basic lab tasks.
-Student Ambassador to the Foreign Exchange Students- have been involved with this since freshman year. Actively help to engage students with the school, befriend them, and introduce them to american life. This required a lot of initiative on my part, since the students were always several years older than myself.
-Hosted foreign exchange student Sophomore year
-Lived abroad in India/Bangladesh as part of my dad's fulbright program during the second half of sophomore year. Found a passion for Hindi and South Asian culture, and gained a new perspective. Discovered that I want to work for the foreign service.
-Debate all 4 years of high school. My biggest struggle is probably public speaking, but I've worked to overcome that and I'm proud of my perseverance.
-Art 4 Ap.
-Took Spanish up to level 4. Have worked on my Hindi and Spanish proficiency throughout high school. Hope to improve my communication skills by attending a language school in Guatemala this summer.
-Worked Summer after freshman year in the Agriculture department at A&M.
-Have 120 hours of community service working in various projects for Interact, such as 14 for Special Olympics, our local Community environment program, etc. </p>

<p>I applied to Liberal Arts, and am obviously working to enter International Relations with a specialty in Environmental policy. I hope that's reflected well in my ECs, and that that bodes well for my admissions decision.</p>

<p>So, what do you think my chances are? I understand how strict they are about the top 8% rule, but do I at least have a shot with my current standing?</p>
