I just visited vanderbilt and i really like it but idk my chances so please help inflate my ego or crush my dreams
School:
no weighted averages at my school but 97 average for junior year and 95 average for sophomore year
junior year took AP Chem and AP Spanish (A+ in both classes)
senior year taking AP BC Calculus, AP US Government, and AP Psych
Testing:
34 ACT (29 writing)
720 Bio SAT II (9th grade)
750 Chem SAT II (10th grade)
taking Lit SAT II in June
Extracurriculars:
VP junior year of my school’s diversity organization and next year will be president
currently working in a classroom with nonverbal autistic children and will be working with a non-for-profit organization this summer which teaches children with various cognitive and developmental disabilities how to use cool software (photoshop, editing software, animation software)
took a course in educating children with developmental disabilities for which i received 1 college credit
writing tutor for my school (this year and next year)
chem tutor (but this is unofficial so not sure whether to put it in an application)
**I participate in these extracurriculars because I am really passionate about diversity and inclusion. I am slightly worried because Vanderbilt has the reputation for being very ethnically and socioeconomically homogeneous. If anyone has any idea of other schools I should look at based on this i would be very grateful (I also really liked Georgetown University).
