<p>I am a boy who just applied under EDII to Wesleyan in the Inter-mountain Region. Few applicants from my state or neighboring states apply, and I am almost certain that I am the only male applying ED in my entire state (Utah).</p>

<p>low GPA b/c of terrible freshman year experiences (pneumonia and mononucleosis as well as problems adjusting to a new school). total GPA 3.61/4 (unweighted)
really dramatic progression as high school has gone by (from a 2.8 weighted to a 4.64/4.64 weighted)</p>

<p>ACT superscore 32 with 36s in English and Reading and 27s in Math and Science</p>

<p>AP Testing: Language and Composition: 5 Studio Art: 4</p>

<p>Current Classes: AP French, AP Statistics, AP Psychology, AP Literature, Environmental Studies, Gender Studies.</p>

<p>Chief Editor, School Literary Magazine (recognized as one of the best in the nation)
President, French Club</p>

<p>Co-Captain, Varsity Tennis team--going for fifth straight state title (also made contact with Wesleyan tennis, have yet to hear back) UNDEFEATED in state or region high school tennis in three (in all probability four) years</p>

Volunteered at Utah AIDS foundation and Pingree school for Autistic children</p>

<p>Summer of Sophomore Year: ISS Study-Serve program in Paris; 4 hours of Art History / French Literature followed by 5 hours of community service (project building day-care counselor) DAILY for 2.5 months.</p>

<p>Summer of Junior Year: Internship at the law offices of former Lebanese presidential candidate, advocate for Middle Eastern democracy and now Harvard Law professor Chibli Mallat (1 month).</p>
