ya u r forsure getting in…if u woodve applied ed u woodve been in no question but still now ur prob gonna get in i would worry… apply to many schools and youl forsure get into a top school

Your stats are excellent. It will come down to the quality of your essays and recommendations. If those are solid, then you have a good shot at both Wharton and Huntsman. If you had applied ED, you would have had an extremely good chance. RD, it’s impossible to say for sure, but you are definitely a strong candidate.

I did apply ED
I’m also applying to University of Michigan (EA), U Chicago (EA), Harvard, and NYU
I’d like to think my essays were good because I worked on them every night for months
Thanks for your input :)

Did you target German or Mandarin? And if you targeted Mandarin, is it something you speak at home? Numbers-wise, you’re pretty much perfect. Your ECs come off as a little spread out to me (and all started 11th grade or later, why’s that? Unless that’s just the leadership), but the leadership within them looks good. LBW’s always a plus. I don’t do formal chances or anything but you seem solid from what you have provided. Your essays will obviously be a significant factor, and if you targeted German that’ll probably help as well. Either way, good luck and I hope to see you next year! On a side note, Irish Literature sounds fairly awesome.

it’s too bad you violated Penn’s ED agreement by applying early to other schools

[Early Decision and Early Action](<a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>Facts About Applying Early Decision or Early Action – BigFuture)

You can apply early so long as you don’t apply early *decision *anywhere else.

I targeted Mandarin because though I enjoy German, I’m a little more comfortable with Mandarin and I do speak it at home.
As for the ECs, I went from a large public school to my private school for 10th grade so it took me a little while to get familiar with everything etc.

To clarify: I joined MUN, School for the Entrepreneur, and Math Club sophomore year (the year I transferred to my new school) but I only held leadership positions my junior and senior years. Also, to add to my ECs: I’ve been running Varsity Track since 10th grade and played JV Basketball in 10th grade and 11th grade and just recently made Varsity this year.

I definitely have confidence in my recs; I picked some great teachers to write them, both of who I am close with.

I think you’ll get in to Wharton, but Huntsman is still a reach since they only have about 50 spots. Nonetheless, you could very well get into the Huntsman program.

i agree with the above post. you never know about huntsman but you’re in for wharton!

Nah. Not sure about Wharton either… It’s your essays / recs that will do the job.
