Chance me: attending cc as OOS and transfer to UCs or CSU?

So I am a California resident living in GA right now for some reason on my own. As an OOS, i chose to take online classes as many as possible because its way cheaper. So heres my plan but i dont really know if it works or makes sense: so i go to GPC (georgia perimeter college) and get 30 credits from online classes and transfer to GSU and finish up with my core classes then transfer to UCs or CSUs? Do you think they will accept my credit when most of (maybe all of) my classes are online classes?

  • and lets say my GPA is something close to 4

The CSU’s and UC’s require 60 semester/90 quarter units for transfer so you need to find out if all the credits you recieve as an OOS student will be UC/CSU transferable. I would have your transcript evaluated by a CSU and UC school prior to transferring.

Also as an OOS applicant (even if you are a California resident) meaning you are attending an OOS school, you will have the lowest priority when transferrring.

You would be in a better position if you move back to California and attend a California CC prior to transferrring. Being a CA CC applicant with at least 30 units taken at a CA CC will give you priority in the transfer process and it will make it easier for your classes to articulate to the CSU/UC transfer requirements.

In terms of online, they won’t know because it is not noted on transcript - and supposedly the UCs do not discriminate even if somehow known.
