Hey guys...im applying to ball state university (in indiana)....and the deadline to apply by is march 1...i will have my app in by tomorrow.....my cumulative gpa is 3.65 ..my sat scores...1410/2400...440 reading 460 math 510 writing....my rigor of schedule is pretty damn good..i have taken classes like ap literature, calculus, physics, all honors classes since freshman year, sociology....and i have participated in sports and other extra curricular activities.....what chance do i have in getting in? am i applying to late? you think there will be spots open? and other colleges ive applied to like (IUSB)..i got in....(IU) i got deffered and i won't know if im in till march...

I got deferred by IU because of my low SAT scores...they do not believe i could do the college level work i guess even though i know i could. im enrolled in college classes right now in highschool (calculus and sociology) and im gettin a 4.0 in both of those

someone was saying they have already met their quota? is this tru?
and someone just told me he got deferred with a 3.4 gpa 1280 sats...but my sats are alot better than that

Yeah, I don't know. Probably it would be wise for you to do a year of Community college and then admissions should be no problem. It really won't make that much difference, either.

I think a community college would be great for you, save some money, and easy grades. Also, transfer students do not have as much competition for acceptance because of the smaller pool.

I have always wondered why someone would like to go to "Ball State University". Just looking at the name is laughable. It's like Grambling State University.
