<p>We can’t, schools look at other things then grades and test scores. Though based on what I see so far you should have a decent shot…
We need your ECs, SAT breakdown, and race.</p>

<p>My ECs are nowhere as impressive as the others on this site… but here:
Have been playing the violin since 7; I play in recital often and perform as a volunteer at local senior homes
Volunteer at a laboratory at a local university (has been there since last summer)
President of the Marine Science Club at my school
President of the PeerTutoring Club</p>

<p>SAT breakdown- 630 CR 720 Math 740 Writing
Race: Japanese</p>

Emory: High Match/Low Reach
Wake: Match
Tufts: Low Reach/Reach (they’re notorious for being unreasonably selective)</p>

I mean I think my ECs are decent but after reading others’ long lists of awards/ECS on this site just makes me feel that mine are not that great…
I guess I just need to stop overly comparing myself to the others here.</p>

<p>Basically what everybody said, you will probably get into most if not all of the schools on your list. You don’t need crazy, ultra amazing ECs for most schools, you just need to have some community service and leadership that you are committed to… The only issue I see is that you are an ORM.
Speaking as somebody with slightly crazy ECs (minus the whole curing cancer thing), they really don’t matter, we just do them for fun and are sort of expected for the top 20 schools.</p>
