Also, if you guys have any suggestions on how I can improve my chances at any schools, please give me some insight on that too!

If you want a chance back, just request one!

Thanks!

You’ve got a good chance at both schools. Probably a better chance at Berkeley since you’re in state

Bumpity bump

Bump bump bump?

WAIT DO YOU GO TO CENTENNIAL??? lol I know a couple of people from centennial because of FBLA!
Anyways, I feel that you have a GREAT shot at Berkeley. Although your AP scores are somewhat low, your scores are still pretty decent, and thts pretty much what Berkeley looks for. This year, my school had 90+ people admitted to Berkeley, and a lot of them had 3.7-3.8 GPAs.
Your ECs are pretty solid, starting an investment club is impressive.
Northwestern may be a reach, but then again, northwestern is a reach for most people because of it’s declining acceptance rate.
Now all you can do is write a brilliant essay and hope for the best.
Good luck!

Yeah I go to centennial! How did you know?!
And UCs actually don’t take AP scores into consideration for their admissions process.

Can anyone else chance me? Please

Someone chance me please -__-

^ I would chance you now, but I’m really tired lol. I’ll give you a full/detailed report tomorrow, how does that sound lol ;)?

You’re definitely qualified for Berkeley. I have no idea about Northwestern, but I’d say you have a very good chance for getting into Cal. Your ECs are great, very substantial. Write some good, passionate essays and you should be golden. Message me if you have any questions (I’m going to Berkeley this fall btw haha)

I’ll just do it now, lol! But it’ll be short ;P

**I’ll bold the schools I’m talking about to reduce confusion.

Alright, hello, Berkeley and Northwestern are really good schools and are tough to get into. To start, I think you have a really good chance at this school, because your GPA exceeds their recommended GPA by a ton which is great. Your SAT is excellent for a first try, again, exceeds Berkeley’s average by a ton lol. Berkeley doesn’t require SAT Subject Test, but they do provide a boost in the admission process especially when you get good scores on them, which you demonstrated. I don’t know if you’re going to use all those AP credits for those AP classes your previously took, but they’re good scores. Just make sure you do well on those AP classes you’re taking Senior year. EC’s activities also boost your application and definitely should make you stand out to the admission officers by having leadership positions and volunteering and or interning experiences that relate to your field of study.

Overall, you have a very good chance at this school based on your stats and all that good stuff. Just do well Senior year and stay on top of things and work hard :).

Next, Northwestern is also a tough school to get into, but with your stats, I think you have a good chance at this school, and if you do get accepted, it’ll be a long travel :(, but it’ll be worth it though. I don’t know what major/field of study you wish to go into, but here are the requirements for Northwestern for a heads up:

**Northwestern General Requirements:
~ English: 4 years
~ Foreign Language: 2 years
~ Social Studies/History: 2 years
~ Science: 2 years
~ Mathematics: 3 years

For the detailed list and other questions concerning admission here’s the link to those questions: [High School Applicant FAQs: Office of Undergraduate Admission - Northwestern University](http://www.ugadm.northwestern.edu/apply/frequently-asked-questions-and-resources/high-school-applicants-faqs.html#7)

They are really picky about their IB/AP scores. They award credit for 5’s and for IB, they award credit for scores of 5+, so do well Senior year if you want to use any of those credits. Like I said above, your EC’s are excellent, but it would be even better if you have more EC’s that really focused on your interests. That’s a BIG thumbs up.~ Overall, I think you have a chance at this school if you keep on working hard, and get good AP scores :).

Like I said, do well on those AP classes if you want credit, also see if you can find and more EC’s that relate to your career interests because that shows colleges/universities that you are serious about this and that and etc.

Thanks for the chance! And I want to go for the Haas undergrad business program. I know I have to apply for admittance to the program during my sophomore year.

Good chances at both schools. I’ll be applying to berkeley too. Chance me? http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/what-my-chances/1369312-chances-stanford-upenn-dartmouth-yale-ucs-usc.html</a></p>

I just chanced you. Any more chancers? I’ll chance back :)

With your grades and test scores, I think your chances at Berkeley are highly favorable, and your ECs give you the sort of edge that Northwestern will want to see (I’ve heard that UCs are generally a bit less concerned with ECs and more with grades and scores since they’re large public schools).

You’ll probably have better luck with financial stuff and AP credit at Berkeley, but you likely knew that already. :)

Thanks for the answer @cruxclaire !
Yes I was aware that UC Berkeley is more lenient with AP credits than Northwestern. and northwestern would probably be more expensive as financial aid will be minimal in my circumstance.

Anyone else? I’ll chance back

For UCB it’s a definite match/likely you’ll get in. You’re very well rounded but not mediocre at everything, you seem to be excelling at everything. Being in state does help and so do your SAT 2’s. As for Northwestern, I think that you’re also a match but not guaranteed. You’re VERY likely to get in for the above reasons. Even though NU is a top 20 school, your stats seem to match the school’s profile really well. If you’re planning on being an engineer at ALL I’d suggest applying to the McCormick school of engineering firstly, because it’s easier to transfer out then to transfer in. Other than that, nice job and good luck! Care to chance me back?
