Chance me Berkeley/Cornell?

I am currently a sophomore at a top 200 high school (public) in Minnesota. I'm looking into going into computer science. I still have some time left in my high school career and I am looking for some guidance from you lovely people (EC's I should look into, what I should strive for on my admissions test, summer opportunities, things like that) Thanks!

Thank you!

You should probably look into some computer-science oriented extra curriculars. Maybe try attending a CompSci Summer Program (if it is not too late to get in) and try joining some Computer Science clubs at your school. And if there are none, make one! That will look even better on your application! Don’t stress out too much, though. You still have a bit of time. But you look like you’re on the right track. Keep working hard!

collegeluva101 Thanks for the input, it’s really helpful. I have been looking for the right summer program, but the summer programs are really expensive… Do you think it would be more valuable to do it the summer going into junior or senior year? Also this is the one I have been looking at (https://wiki.engr.illinois.edu/display/wyse/WYSE+Summer+Camps</a>) but I am worried that it is not computer science oriented enough. My school has a robotics club but not necessarily a computer science club, so I could probably find an adviser and create one. Thanks again.
