My Dad went to Berkeley , but I know they don't care as much about legacy unless its really huge.
My Grandfather has donated over $10,000,000 to the whole UC system. Yeaa..he went to a UC and really is very thankful for his education there.

I don't expect to get in. I think I have a chance that's decent. Let me know what you think? Feel free to be as honest as possible and give me any suggestions that can increase my chances.

I think you have a great shot to be honest.

Work hard on your essays and the rest of junior year too!

Good luck!

yeah you do
i got in with a 31 on my ACT
780 on Japanese 680 on math 2 and 670 on Us Hist and I got in
and my sat was lower than yours

good luck you got a great shot

Retake Math II, get 780+. Get a 2250+ on the SAT I’s. Try to pull a 4.0 uw from now on. Don’t apply for engineering. Do all that and I’d be very surprised if you got rejected.

Also get your grandfather to donate more $$ to Cal. Thanks.

if u have a disability or unusual circumstance, then be sure to state that cuz thats what got me in! and i got an 1850 superscores on sat’s and 1790 is what i submitted on my app in november! so yeah u have a good chance IF ur not just another student with all the good scores and extracurriculars. be exceptional! : }

Berkeley focuses a lot on statistics. They place a heavy focus on GPA and SAT/ACT. Although with your stuff, I think even the engineering program would be feasible.
