Chance me, Boston College, NYU, Tulane, Duke, Ivies, etc?

You have similar stats to me. I think your ACT could be 1-2 points higher but a 31 doesn’t get you rejected immediately from any of those schools. Ivy’s may be hard to get into just because their selection almost seems to be partially luck. I’d say you can definitely get into NYU, Northeastern, Boston College, and Tulane.
But remember that undergrad really isn’t as crucial as most people think, and Ivy’s are often not a good choice for an undergrad. Good luck.

Here are some stats on this year’s freshman class at Tulane. ( https://tulanehullabaloo.com/27262/showcase/class-2021-academically-qualified-diverse-class/). It can help give you a guide to how you might make out this year. Things do change from year to year though. Ther is no more room on campus so they will likely reduce the class by a couple hundred. Not sure if that will make a difference. Good luck!

Thanks for this link, @NJDad68. Do you have a son or daughter at the Tulane now?

My son graduated in 2012.

I think your chances are just as good, if not better than anyone else’s. Of course, Duke, Notre Dame, and Ivies will be reaches, but they are for everyone. Good luck! I hope you get into all of them!!

International Relations Major and I’m bilingual (haitian creole), pretty solid in French though

Thank you!!!

Your stats are really good for most of these. You should be able to get into several for sure.

Most of your schools I feel are matches or high matches - with the exception of ivys. The problem really that I see is your ACT score which is relatively low for many of these schools. However you have great extracurriculars. You also have some hooks aswell which could be beneficial to your acceptance. Best of luck to you!

UPDAT 32 act now

EC’s are strong and minority status will help you. Grades and test scores are pretty good - not necessarily ivy strong but very strong overall. A lot of it is going to depend on your essay. If you wrote a strong essay, Duke and BC, and Notre Dame could potentially be low reaches with the ivies being high reaches - but if essays are not strong, Duke and Notre Dame and even BC may be difficult.

With your pretty strong profile and the URM hook, you could get into an Ivy or two if you wrote great essays

I think you should be a pretty strong applicant for most of these schools minus the Ivies and Duke. If you could make your essay really good I can easily see you getting into some of the Ivies. Best of luck to you!

ACCEPTED EARLY TO NOTRE DAME!!

So far accepted to notre dame, fordham, boston college, tulane, and fordham. Haven’t been rejected or defferred anywhere, and also no longer applying to duke.

Accepted to northeastern

Accepted to UF and FSU
