Chance Me? (Bowdoin College)

I’m currently a junior at a regular public high school and I’ve been looking around at some LACs and I’m very interested in Bowdoin College. If you could chance me that would awesome!

I plan on submitting an art supplement
I plan on trying to get recruited for the Cross Country team, my best 5k time is 21:43 and I know I can get it under 21 min this fall.
I also want to apply for early admissions

Lastly, is it true that recruited athletes have a much higher chance of getting in than non athletes?

Recruited Athletes have a leg up anywhere. If the school wants you for a sports team, odds are you will get in.
You are most definitely qualified!
Just two pieces of advise:

  1. Show interest! Talk to admission counselors, send emails, schedule an interview! Interest definitely helps
  2. Work on your essays early. Your stats will be similar to many applicants, so distinguish yourself in your essays. (If you ever need me to read them over send me a private message and if you have any questions in general about Bowdoin!)

Thanks! I’ll definitely keep that in mind.
