Chance me ( Brazilian student) - Ivies

<p>Hey guys chance me please!
I'm from a small rural town in central Brazil and I attend a private school.
I'm the first student ever to seek admission in a US University
I also have a Brazilian native ancestry and both of my parents came from very poor families.
I didn't applied for FAid
SAT I - 1350/1930 ( bad writing score ;/ ) SAT II - 700 WHistoy 680 French
TOEFL: 110 ( bad writing again ;/)
Rank: 3/312
GPA: 9.5/10 ( I guess it would a 4.0 in US)
My school does not offer AP courses, but our curriculum is highly competitive</p>

Religion Studies - I'm a Spiritist, a religion you guys probably never heard of...I think that may have a positive effect
Biology and Chemistry State silver medals ( top 1%) and a bronze medal ( top 2-3%) in the Brazilian Astronomy Olympiad - the highest awards in my school's History</p>

<p>It’ll be really tough to get into most of them because your test scores are really hurting you. Try to retake them if you can. Your ECs will be good or will do harm depending on how long you’ve done them. 3+ years always looks best. It shows them that you’re committed to something and aren’t just doing it so you can have another EC on your application.</p>

<p>Even with all that it’ll be really tough since the schools you chose are unpredictable and highly selective. Good luck to you!</p>

<p>Yeah, to get into an Ivy as an international, your scores need to improve significantly. But your unique circumstances could pull you through. Try to apply to a few non-Ivys, especially International-friendly ones as backups.</p>
