Chance me Brown ED 2022

Hey guys! so i really made this account five mins ago after stalking the brown ed 2022 page for months bc tomorrow is the day and im freaking out! i know these are hardly foolproof, but would yall mind chancing me? maybe it will be a nice distraction for us nervous folk!

Bio:
-Citizenship: US Citizen
-State of residence: New York (NYC) (rip!!! everyone applies from ny)
-Race: white
-Gender: Female

-hook: legacy (just my mom)

School:
-Type (Public/private & size): Private, class of 70ish
-Graduates (How many go to Ivy’s/top 20): people get into a wide range. many ivies/tops but many small liberal arts that are very competitive and a few large states too
-AP’s Offered: none but all classes are considered honors and colleges know how rigorous the school is

-writers workshop at barnard over the summer 2 years ago

(really hoping my love of writings comes through lol)

Other info to take into account:
one other girl from my school applied ED. also female, white, etc. look very much the same on paper although I have way more ECs. she is not legacy.

applied for english or literary arts

i have a recomendation letter from an alumn (not my mom. someone slightly more involved in the school. my mom just went there and gives like 200 dollars a year or something not that much. its not gonna get me in :frowning: lol jk)

My actual application:
common app: wrote about my love of writing. cliche maybe but very well written. it’s not very serious but it’s not like a JOKE. it’s light and shows my personality but has some academic stuff in it.
brown apps: all very good.
tbh could not have spent more time on these. i read them and am so proud of them. but i know nothing will ever be enough.

im trying to think if i missed anything. i dont think i did. this is going to be the longest 20ish hours of my life. thanks in advance for any help chancing me and good luck to everyone!!! <3 thanks for keeping me sane these past few months. hope to see you all in providence

I’d say you have a pretty high chance, but I don’t really know. It seems like super-rigorous NYC private school legacy applicants are considered in a completely different way (no shade- just to say, I really don’t know what lens admissions sees you through), however, even if you were a public school student with no legacy, your ECs and grades sound competitive. Good luck! (If you’re interested, I also made a chance me post, and I’d appreciate any responses)
