Essays:
Will be good. I am a good writer.

Also feel free to suggest any other schools that I might have a good chance of getting in to.
And suggest things that I can improve on. Should I be taking more AP classes?...

Thanks so much to anyone who responds!

Brown: Reach
JHU: Reach
U Chicago: Reach (beware the grueling essay prompts!)

What are your college preferences?

In order to be competitive for those schools, you’ll need a 2200/33+.

Besides the test scores, it seems like you would stand a very good chance at any of those schools.

Good luck with the ACT

Thank you! Do you think I should take AP gov as well my senior year, or am I pretty good with APs? I think I can do pretty well on the ACT, esp in math. I’m not very good at reasoning and decoding the SAT math questions, but I hear the ACT is straightforward.

You definitely won’t need another AP class to increase the rigor of your work, so it wouldn’t really be necessary unless you want the credit or find the class interesting.

Ok, thanks for the advice. I guess I’ll just study super hard this summer to improve test scores. Any ACT studying advice?

They’re all reaches unfortunately. You need a lot more ECs/volunteering for these schools, and of course a much better SAT

Wow. There are some that I didn’t even include, such as my job. And I have 500+ service hours… How is this not a lot? I join the ECs that I love, not the ones to impress college…
