chance me...brown university?????

soo i'm a junior and my highest SAT I score so far is a 2100. i've taken it twice already, but should i take it again my senior year to try to raise it?

i'm not totally positive that i want to bind myself to brown, but would my chances of getting in be better if i ED?

i'm currently the treasurer of the environmental club, in the student body club for 3 yrs., in the community interact club for 1 yr., and i've volunteered at the local library in the summer a lot (don't really know the specific hours)

i row (went to a rowing camp summer of 2009, planning on going to another one this coming summer) and i've been swimming (competitively) for about 6-7 years.

my weighted GPA is a 5.0 and i've taken about 12- ish? AP classes at my high school so far. i'm in band (i've gone to state every year in individual band competitions), in this scholatic league competition (i've gone to state freshman year and i'm going this year).

i'm either salutatorian or 3rd.

that's about it. so what are my chances of getting into Brown?..

oh, and i know essays and teacher recs also play a huge factor in admissions. i can write essays pretty well, so i'm not too terribly worried about that aspect of the application process, but i'm not particularly close to any teachers mainly because i'm shy. i don't talk a lot in class, but i ask questions and such if i don't get it. would my indiffernt relationship with my teachers hurt me? oh, and i'm currently 15, even though i'm a junior, but i'm pretty mature for my age (i guess high school has forced me to mature faster ), so would that help or harm me?
i'm asian too, so i know that's going to hurt me lol :)

Your SAT scores seem low for Brown (but still within the range). What have your AP scores been? If they’re not 4s and 5s, but your GPA is as high as it is, colleges may assume your high school just isn’t challenging.

You have a great chance, but schools like Brown are always a toss-up. Plain recommendations will definitely hurt you, so you should try to be more engaged in your classes this year. It probably will not hurt that you are young for your year; many students are.

Yes, being Asian will hurt you, haha. I’m also Asian, so I can commiserate. :)

bumppp??..

You’ve definitely got a good shot, but as always with a school like Brown anything could happen. You should take the SATs one more time to try to push your scores up, try taking an SAT class. Definitely try to get to know one teacher really well, good letters are essential!
