Chance me - BU is my dream school + new Sat scores!

So I already put a chance me thread here…it only got one response, but I am sure many others viewed it. However, I got new SATs. Boston University is my dream school. Not just because I think it may be a match, or because its affordable. I guess I’ll start off my profile with the infamous…

Why BU? My grandmother, who I will willingly admit is my best friend =) lol, was diagnosed with alzheimers about 2 years ago. I volunteer at her senior citizen home 3 days a week and visit her every other day. And Ive been keeping up with BU’s alzheimer’s disease center, and its clinic, and Ive been really impressed and interested in their findings. While Im not looking to go into medicine, nor am I looking to become a doctor, alzheimers is a subject that I passionately pursue to learn more about, and a lot of the alzheimers news I read around town mentions BU. So that along with various other factors (more common ones - location, city, fenway, etc) make BU my absolute dream school

On to my stats

Sat: 2100 (previously 1840 - 800 in writing really helped lol)
Unweighted GPA: 3.55 - 3.6 (My school is weird, my GPA changes for no reason sometimes so its just in that area lol)
Weighted GPA: 5.0

Curriculum: 12 AP/Honors in High School career (Pretty hard curriculum - Im not going to say it was the hardest)

ECs
Volunteer at Senior Citizen center 3 times a week
Organize and Manage a team for the Brain Cancer (Race for Hope) Walk - raises about 2000 dollars a year
DECA business club - placed 1st at regional and state competition
Total community service hours - 1500 - 2000 hours (majority comes from senior home and brain cancer foundation. There is such a broad range because Im still pursuing these interests…will most likely be above 2000 by the time I apply)
FBLA
NHS
Interact - basically a community service club
Varsity Debate Champion - Won championship one year
Ultimate Frisbee
Future Educators of America
Volunteer work at Topps Soccer on and off (Helps kids with disabilities play sports)

I know I don’t have a massive amount of ECs, and I understand they might not all be that impressive, but I am hoping I can really focus my application, or at least the EC part and the essays, on my community service. The senior home for alzheimers patients and the Brain Cancer foundation is just so time consuming its hard to get involved with much more.

Anyway, thanks for reading. I am looking forward to hearing your insight!

I think you have a very good shot. Are you going to apply at Sargent?

Im actually planning to apply to BUs School of Management

I am thinking about applying Early Decision, but I here its harder to get in ED since the most qualified students apply?
