I’m a white female senior and I’m finalizing my list of schools to apply to. I would love to look into schools near cities, and I plan on applying to crazy amounts of scholarships/grants to help cover tuition if it’s very high.
My weighted GPA is a 4.03/4.76
TESTS:
31 composite on my third ACT. (R- 32, E- 30, S- 30, M- 29; W- 8/12)
-29 on first, 30 on second
CLASSES:
I’ve only taken one regular class where I could’ve been in honors, and that is not continuing honors math in junior year. (Algebra 2/Trig H sophomore year, Pre-calc R junior year)
I’ve taken honors everything else when offered since 7th grade.
I took AP Physics 1 and AP US History last year, as well as pre-calc, Italian H 103/104 (college credit), art IV (advanced), and English H.
This year, I am taking AP Gov, AP Lit, AP Drawing, AP Italian, AP Bio, and calculus.
EC’s:
I was inducted into National, Art, Math, English, and World Language Honors Societies. (Soon Social Studies HS as well)
I am the president of the Italian club, I am a co-president of Art Honors Society, and I am going to be a FRESH mentor my senior year.
Outside of school, I’ve been taking art classes for years and years and have begun my portfolio for college.
I also do a lot of community service work (at least 100+ hours).
I have a babysitting job 6 hours a week for a former teacher of mine.
HOOKS(?):
Since my demographics don’t really help me at all, all I have is that my parents were divorced when I was 10 which put a huge financial strain on my family. My dad also never attended college, however my mom has her masters.
I’ve been looking into an International Relations/Studio Arts double major.
Safeties: SUNY New Paltz (in-state) and Drew University
Targets: Skidmore, Boston U, GWU, Syracuse U
Reaches: USC
Any other suggestions would be appreciated!
Thank you!!
