bump

I think you have a chance.

@juice650‌ when u say chance, do u mean high chance or what?

Yes, a good chance to be admitted. Your gpa and sat scores seem good enough to be admitted.

@juice650 but for engineering they have a 1388 average (cr+M) and i have 1380. also they have 4.07 average gpa, and i have 3.97 weighted. would this be fine?

Have you calculated your CSU GPA using 9th-11th grades since SLO uses your Freshman grades. You are competitive but ME was extremely tough this past year. My son had 4 friends, all with 4.2+ GPA’s and 2100+ SAT’s that were denied but got into UCSD and UCLA. See link for GPA calculation and also SLO assigns bonus points for extra Math/Science/Language/English classes.

SLO: High Match/Low Reach

@Gumbymom‌ I have a 3.92 UC/CSU GPA apparently. Im feeling very worried about where i can get in. Do you know any other good in-state engineerng schools I can get into that have good reputation with employers?

@toesockshoe‌: You should look at SDSU/CSULB/Cal Poly Pomona for the Cal States. I would definitely still apply to SLO, you do have a chance. For the UC’s, you could look at UCD/UCSB/UCI/UCSD/UCSC/UCR.
My husband works for a construction company which hires heavily from the 2 Cal Polys. For Pomona, it would be a safety school for you. Good Luck!!
