Anyone have an opinion on Oregon State vs. Cal Poly?

BMX: Your test scores are pretty good, so that will help, but your gpa will hurt a bit. Cal poly likes to see a 3.8+ gpa for most majors. I'd say slight reach. It's not out of the question, but I'd for sure apply to other match and safety schools.

bcath: I'm assuming that 1330 is only math and verbal. :) Anyway, it looks like you have a good chance. GPA is right there and SAT's are a bit above average (Typical engineering admit has around 1280 V+M). I'd say you're a match. I'm alos not familiar with oregon state engineering, but cal poly is consistently ranked as one of the public engineering schools, and certainly one of the the tops on the West Coast. They also have two brand new engineering buildings that you should definitely check out when you visit. I'd recommend it.
